Please Join Us At Our Family Picnic And Balloon Lift-Off The Family Picnic and Balloon Lift-off is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 1 pm to 3 pm. This event unites family and friends in releasing balloons in remembrance of their children who have died at any age from any cause. Please Join Us At The Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Event The Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Event is scheduled for Sunday, December 12, 2010. The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, creating a virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor the memory of children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.
The Verdugo Hills Chapter will host a candle lighting at a location to be determined in the near future. Pot luck dinner will be from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Dessert and coffee from 6:30 pm to 7 pm. Candle Lighting Program with photo presentation will take place between 7 pm and 8 pm. |
